Have you also asked yourself recently why so many people are literally going nuts these days all around? Today I would like to introduce a concept of the ancient vedan (indian) scriptures that could be an accurate model for spiritual ages and changes. Maybe you even have heard of the age of Kali that we are said to live in?
The Four Ages of Creation and the Stepwise Degradation of Morality
According to the five thousand years old scriptures of the Hindus, the Vedas (Bhagavad-gita being the most famous and probably most important of those), God ordered his creation in cycles of four ages:
Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga and finally Kali Yuga.
These 4 yugas follow a timeline ratio of (4:3:2:1). Satya-Yuga starts in a golden age of spiritual awareness and step-by-step reduces morality until in Kali-Yuga, people have lost their connection to the Source/Creator and prefer to live a complete materialistic and egoistic life. Generally, the ages see a gradual decline of dharma, wisdom, knowledge, intellectual capability, life span, emotional and physical strength. Virtually all gurus agree that we now live in this dark age of Kali-Yuga, having started in 3,102 B.C. What they do not agree on is on the duration of these ages, 432 000 years marking the upper end, and 1200 years being the faster interpretation. Kali by the way is the name of a negative incarnation of Visnu.
The characteristics of the age of Kali are as follows (from Wikipedia):
- Rulers will become unreasonable: they will levy taxes unfairly.
- Rulers will no longer see it as their duty to promote spirituality, or to protect their subjects: they will become a danger to the world.
- People will start migrating
- In human relationships avarice and wrath will be common. Humans will openly display animosity towards each other.
- Ignorance of dharma will occur.
- People will have thoughts of murder with no justification and will see nothing wrong in that.
- Lust will be viewed as socially acceptable and sexual intercourse will be seen as the central requirement of life.
- Sin will increase exponentially, whilst virtue will fade and cease to flourish.
- People will take vows and break them soon after.
- People will become addicted to intoxicating drinks and drugs.
- Gurus will no longer be respected and their students will attempt to injure them. Their teachings will be insulted, and followers of Kama will wrest control of the mind from all human beings.
Have you also had a sudden moment of insight when comparing this list with our modern days…?
These so-called learned men are absorbed in their intestines and genitals and their only identification is the thread they wear. Indulging in over eating, absorbed in bodily consciousness, lazy, intellectually dull and greedy for others properties, they are consistently against God-consciousness. Due to being overly inclined towards false paths without essence, they manufacture their own processes for self-realization. Neglecting their actual duties they are expert in blaspheming You (the Supreme Personality of Godhead) and the saintly persons; hence again Mother Earth is in tears due to this burden. Therefore, Oh Lord of the Universe, destroyer of the miseries of the destitute, please mercifully do what is befitting for the protection of the Earth and the living entities.
Predictions for the Age of Kali
Why do Things Always Get Worse?
The last great spiritual master that Krishna/God has sent to earth was His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada who brought the ancient vedan wisdom to the West in the sixties and seventies. His essential teachings says that we individual souls need to regain Krishna Consciousness, the constant awareness that we are God’s children, so we can master our reincarnations and finally ascend to higher realms.
Srila Prabhupada explains the negativity in Kali-Yuga coming from more and more ascended souls having mastered the teachings of the material world, after sometimes many incarnations in this world, and thus moved on to more heavenly planets/dimensions, leaving the egoistic, negative and demoniac souls back. As this density we live in is considered a “lower density”, a rather harsh and sometimes bitter environment, the advanced souls may leave and the disturbed must stay. But there are always some very positive incarnations willingly coming back to this planet, just out of pure love for the lost human souls, Budda and Jesus being the most prominent of them today.
If people take to this saìkértana movement of chanting Hare Kåñëa, Hare Räma, they will certainly be freed from the contamination of Kali-yuga, and the people of this age will be happy, as people were in Satya-yuga, the golden age.

Armageddon after Kali-Yuga?
The vedas talk of Kalki, the next Avatar of God, that will come down on fallen earth on a white horse to destroy and recreate this material world on the end of Kali-Juga:
Thereafter, at the conjunction of two yugas, the Lord of the creation will take His birth as the Kalki incarnation and become the son of Vishnuyasha. At this time the rulers of the earth will have degenerated into plunderers.
Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.3.25At the end of this Kali-yuga, the Lord will appear as the incarnation of Kalki, and His only business will be to kill all human beings on the surface of the globe. After that killing, another golden age will begin.

New Agers now also try to connect the end of Kali-Yuga with the massively hyped 2012 end-of-the-world desire. The ancient scriptures of the Hindus mention many impressively exact dates and numbers, but its hard to extract a convincing evidence for a 2012 scenario. Thats fine for me, as pseudo-mathematics will not bring us further in any means. What is important is the development of our spirituality and increased consciousness which will lead to more understanding of our negativ soul brothers and sisters. They choose their path of experience and there is no reason to be afraid of these pre-demons. Their way is just much longer than others, but hopefully and eventually we will all find our way back to the source.

In very ancient texts from asia, Kali is referred to as the mother of all Deities, that each other God fails to fully comprehend, like water in the footprint of a cow fails to comprehend the vast ocean. Being a virgin bride, a mother, a widow at the same time, she has rather recently been reduced to her destroyer of all that is rotten, obsolete or physically overaged -aspect. By the darkness of Kali Yuga, isn`t it ironic…

All these characteristics have been written down whilst that Age already had started. The excerpt above shows well enough, how declined and patriarchally perverted even eastern spiritualty was at that point of time yet. There is absolutely NO wisdom in that ascetic nonsense.
Kali Yuga is that negative as “…the advanced souls may leave and the disturbed must stay.”
This is just one view, and a less plausible explanation than the assumption, that the varying distance of our sun from the galaxies´ centre causes different ages. Being to close to this gravitational magnet, also subtle energies, quasi “spiritual light”, will be drawn towards it, like physical light would be, at a closer distance of course.
Though according to most sources, Kali Yuga has only “just” begun, many “experts” say a minor “Golden Age” of 10.000 years will start relatively soon, but within the major Kali Yuga we are presently experiencing.

Hey tom,
I tend to understand your statement “tell me how he was superior” as a question, not as a command, so here is my answer:
I must admit that my formulation of this sentence is unfortunate, as it may provoke a need for defense for people who follow other spiritual masters.
But please understand that my praise of Srila Prabhupada comes from a strong adoration for him and his work, not from a desire to compare or to put anybody else down. We spiritually seeking people should avoid to let ourselves be separated and compartmentalized by religious fights and in this regard I did a bad job with that statements. Please accept my apologies!
As for the actual content: Ramana Maharashi was born in 1879, so Srila Prabhupada was clearly sent AFTER him to earth (1896) 😉 . Only Nisargadatta Maharaj was sent a year after him (1897).
We could have a debate as who reached more people or had the more important message, but to what purpose? Let us just be happy that these selfless men spent their life to educate a world populace that had lost connection to the spiritual truth.

I was into you until i realized you obviously support Hinduism or some version of it. No doubt you are extremely intelligent and have alot of info on this site that is truthful and for that alone i will keep visiting. Your info on VC was eye opening as i too was fooled. However to me hinduism is just another foot in the door to new age ascended master beliefs. I too have been researching for a while and it seems the rabbit whole never ever ends. I have come to the belief that while there are many races of ETs none of them are benevolent. Some are worse than other but any benevolence they show is part of an agenda of their own race or of all ETs together to gain our trust. I believe any benevolent being i.e. angels are purely spiritual and live only in the higher dimensions far from ours. Only those “kicked out” of heaven play around in the lower dimensions because they have no where else to go! I am interested in hearing your defense. Maybe you can give me a new understanding of things.

I find it actually good that you are not “into me” any more – its not my goal at all to be some leader for anybody else, I want to share what I’ve experienced or find truthful or interesting, thats all. We definitely need to grow up to become our very own leaders.
The Hare Krishna movement oiriginates of course from the Vedas, the basis also of Hinduism, but does not have too much in common in regards of spiritual concepts, I think. The central focus is the highest God and how we constantly connect to him. For me personally, Jesus by the New Tastement thought me love and true virtues, but the Baghavad Gita thought me how spiritual things work – from spiritual growth life-by-life, from the construction and order of the universes and the heavens. I wouldn’t want to miss one over the other, but would favor Jesus’ message if I had to choose.
So, think what you want about Hinduism and the foundation it created for New Age, I do not consider myself a Hinduist and are quite allergic about the luciferian deceivers as well. If Blavatsky and Co. found some truth in eastern traditions for themselves or found it handy for their deceiving mission, so be it, the knowledge was there before them, much of it some real truths.
As for the ET topic, I’m not sure if all physical visitors are malevolent. On one hand, they definitely would keep in the background if benevolent and seing our low level of consciousness, on the other hand I also think that this universe we are living in is pretty hard on its inhabitants, perfectly made for entities like us who still have a lot to learn.
So no, I can’t give you a new understanding of things, only your own research and validating all that information with your own life can give you that.
